by

on Sun 08 Mar 2009 17:52 GMT
ven though you may go to the gym each day, you will eventually reach a point where your body no longer develops new muscles. At the same time, unsightly fat will continue to hang around and leave you wondering if something more can be done. Today, you can make use of the Max Workouts to hone your body and lose weight. Interestingly enough, when you combine both objectives, it will actually take less time to achieve both goals. As you may be aware, the best toning methods involve using a number of different exercises. Interestingly enough, making use of machines will not be as effective as simple exercises that actually engage all of your muscles. Once you know which exercises to do, it is fairly easy to set up an exercise program that will give you a sleek, powerful looking body. Regardless of your gender, you may not want to ... more »

on Fri 26 Dec 2008 08:12 GMT
Resistance exercise bands are excellent pieces of equipment for a resistance workout. The bands take up minimal space and are easy to take with you when you travel. They can be used inside or outside or for traveling. The funny thing about resistance exercise bands is that they can be harder to find then they are to use!
Among the best places to search for resistance exercise bands is a local sporting goods store. Often times, a big national franchise type exercise store will have a wide selection of resistance exercise bands to choose from. It's important to do your research on which resistance exercise bands are best for you, as well as trying them out for yourself at a local store. This will ensure that you get the most suitable resistance exercise bands for your physique.
You can also try the sporting goods section of a local retail or ... more »

fitness tips by www.247healthshop.co.uk
Fitness is the key to keep you healthy every day. Healthy lifestyle means a healthy diet and exercise. To achieve a healthier lifestyle you probably will need personal training programs, nutrition tips, spa services, aerobics, outdoor recreation for example - tennis, basketball, softball, walking trails. A lot of programs are planned to give you a total body and mind for your fitness goals.
I have made some research in this topic and have gathered some tips here:
To keep you in fitness it is not necesarry to spend a lot of time. In general it can be even less than 60 minutes a day.
Walking a few meters more from your car to the door and back is an easy way to exercise. But don't do it in a dark parking lot.
Exercise gives you increased stamina, energy and keeps fit your heart. It makes easier ... more »

Losing Weight and Managing your Calories Efficiently
by

on Sun 09 Nov 2008 11:57 GMT
Here are some important exercise guidelines for losing weight that I think you may want to know. Knowing this stuff will help you burn 1,000's more calories while perhaps cutting your workout times in 1/2. You'll no longer need to waste an hour or more of your time exercising in a gym. Forget that. Read this now so you can learn a NEW WAY for weight loss.
Exercise Guidelines for Losing Weight
1. Short and intense beats long and easy
All that long distance jogging and other things don't do much for weight loss. Maybe you realize that, maybe you don't. For the amount of time people put into that stuff, they sure don't get much in return.
Say for instance jogging. Instead of jogging for 30 minutes, if you want to burn off more fat you'd run hard for 10 seconds and then walk for the next 50 seconds. ... more »

Exercises for Resistance Bands Keep the Road Warrior Fit
Exercises for Resistance Bands Keep the Road Warrior Fit by Mike PorterI love the open road. It calls me everyday. Perhaps, I should say the open sky, instead. I get up at 5:50 am, say a quick prayer and find myself on a plane to New Jersey, or Miami, or Wichita. I have so many frequent flyer miles, I could own stock in American Airlines. I give them away as gifts whenever possible because I know I will never run out. It is a hard life at times, but I love every minute of it. Even when I am stationed at home, I am thinking about where I am going next and how soon I can get out to do it.
Most of my colleagues have subsequently put on a little weight over the years, because you just can't find ... more »

This normally means that when we are very busy the gym workout gets missed and then we get miserable!

by

on Sun 26 Oct 2008 16:13 GMT
One of the keys to being successful in any fitness plan, is to remove as many obstacles as possible. Pushups are a great way to increase your level of success in your workout plan because you can do them at your convenience and you do not have to go to a gym.
You can do pushups in the morning before you go to work, on your lunch break, or when you get home from work. There are absolutely no restrictions because you do not have to drive, or bus, to a gym, or wear workout attire. Having used pushups as the core of my workout for years, this has personally been the greatest benefit. While the gym is a great place to go, it requires too much time and consistent effort to make a long-term commitment or achieve long-term success. In order to work out at a gym, the list ... more »

by

on Fri 24 Oct 2008 06:30 BST
Here's how to lose fat around your hips... and all over the rest of your body too. Diet is part of this, but I'll also give you a specific little-used exercise that you can do at home that really SLENDERIZES your hips and the hip to waist curve that helps give you that womanly figure.
How to Lose Fat Around your Hips
1. At-home exercise - hula hooping
This is a biggie. Hula hooping has been proven to get good toning, firming, and all-around definition in your waist and hips area. That's why it's becoming a crazy across the country. What you can do is just buy a weighted hula hoop. They're more expensive than a kid's hoop, at $15-20, but well worth it.
If you don't get a weighted hula hoop, don't even bother getting any hula hoop because the lighter ones will just fall to the ground before ... more »

How much excercise do i need?
by
247 Health Shop
on Sun 19 Oct 2008 08:12 BST
When it comes down to physical activity getting started is the worst part. People are often reluctant because they are afraid of failure and disappointment. A lot of people expect to lose weight quickly and to keep it off; however, that is not usually the case. Weight loss is a slow and steady process that is why it is important to set realistic goals. For instance, you shouldn’t expect to lose 5 pounds in 5 days- that is nearly impossible.
Set goals that you can attain. Knowing that one pound of fat equals 3,500 calories make yourself a realistic table of just how much you want to lose. For instance, if you want to lose 1 pound each week, you need to cut out 500 calories from your daily diet. Once you have figured out how much you want to lose, you next question may be how much physical activity ... more »
